UN convention
The right to an employment is a human right - also for persons with a disability.
We believe that the employment of specialist personalities in jobs that are meaningful to them and that adds a value to companies is the key for integration of people with ASD into the society.
Specialist People Foundation will support nations in fulfilling the intentions within the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by providing showcases on employment of specialist people covered by Article 27.
Article 27 – states “the right of persons with disabilities to work, on an equal basis with others, and prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in all matters of employment, including the “conditions of recruitment, hiring and employment, continuance of employment, career advancement and safe and healthy working conditions.”
We would like to invite states who have ratified the UN Convention to partner up with us and showcase that employment is possible even with an invisible disability.

“An incredible achievement – to build a business like Specialisterne based on social innovation – not a charity, but a business that is build on quality and demanding customers – is something very, very special. And I think we all are a little proud to feel and sense that this was a Danish initiative. At the same time, although it is business, it is something that gives quality to your staff. It is something that gives them the opportunity and honest hope not to see themselves or be seen as a burden to society, but as somebody that actually contribute to society. An incredible gift to society and to your staff.”
- Mads Øvlisen, member of Board of Directors, UN Global Compact
